Film & TV Veterinary Services provides veterinary support and supervision to all aspects of the media and entertainment industry. Founded by a group of veterinary surgeons with nearly 50 years of combined experience in the industry, we deliver a discreet, professional and reliable veterinary service for productions of all sizes.
In addition to providing vets on set, we can advise on animal welfare in pre- and in post-production. We provide advice and experience on the optics and representation of certain situations and help you get the best from your production. We have worked on major feature films, small independent films, TV and streaming device episodic series, TV commercials, West-End theatre productions and photoshoots for still shots. Furthermore, we frequently provide advice on animal use and welfare to large production organizations.
Across the team we have a wide range of specialist skills to advise on and supervise animal action across all species. Whether it be horses and riders undertaking miraculous stunts, birds performing breath-taking flights, a frog striking a majestic pose from a lily pad, or dogs and cats stealing the show, we have the depth of experience to ensure any animal action is monitored by an experienced veterinary surgeon. We cover the whole of the United Kingdom and regularly travel with animals to Europe and even worldwide. Whatever the species and wherever you need us, Film and TV Veterinary Services can provide professional, fully insured, and highly experienced veterinary expertise to safeguard the involvement of animals in your production.
